Fabcon, Inc. is looking for experienced Welders across multiple levels of experience. Responsibilities for this individual will include but not be limited to:
Responsibilities:
- MIG welding of different sheet metal fabrication parts
- Work from work order, samples, drawing, written and verbal instruction.
- Consistently monitor quality of product to maintain quality standards.
- Identify parts for inspection – as required (part of the overall quality control process).
- Update travelers and input as required per job.
- Maintaining workplace housekeeping to provide a safe, clean work environment.
- Be able to read blueprints
- Knowledge of measuring equipment (caliper and micrometer)
- TIG welding of aluminum and stainless-steel sheet metal fabrication parts
- Able to do complex welding projects
- Train others in the proper use of the necessary equipment
- Set goals for each of the members of the team and support as required
Essential Functions Physical Requirements to do this job:
- Physical demands (lifting to 30lbs) when needed
- Pushing up to 25lbs to 40lbs max when needed
- Carrying up to 25lbs if needed (distance) 5ft when needed
- Lifting material (40lbs max)
- Walking about 10%
- Stationed about 70%
- Knelling, squatting, bending, when needed 20%
Skills:
- Welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- MIG welding experience
- Able to read and interpret blueprint and drawings
- Able to define, evaluate, and discuss quality workmanship related to welding
- Detail Oriented
- Be able to read blueprints
- Strong communication skills
- TIG welding experience
- Certified Welder
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 year of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of production and manufacturing process
- Detail- oriented
- Willing to work late, early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary
- Understanding of production and manufacturing processes
- Certified welder
- Team player
- Experience leading a team or equivalent training
- 5S / Lean / Six Sigma experience or equivalent training
